DME strongly supports multicultural competencies and considers festival as one of the important tool to disseminate value and beliefs that nurtures multiple cultures and global perspectives. Festivals provides opportunity to celebrate, rejoice, and come together and stay united. These festivals are teaching to embrace different culture and revel diversity at institute. Several celebrations take place at DME each year to develop a culture that respects diverse culture and different ethnicities. Students and faculty members irrespective of their background, culture, and religious believes participate in celebrations and make commemorate each day with distinct attribute. DME has celebrated several festivals in the past years.
Independence Day, Republic Day, and Gandhi-Shastri Jayanti are celebrated. Vibrant India Series, inspired by ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ sees distinguished personalities from different walks of life in India. Lohri, Saraswati Pooja on Vasant Panchami, Eid-ul-Fitar, Ramayan Quiz and Cultural fest on Diwali, and Christmas – Secret Santa and Carol singing event are celebrated.
